About The Artist…

The color rhythms of the landscape of the Blue Ridge inspire my work as does the luminous sky always visible over the fields and farmlands. Through the illusion of light and color I try to evoke the fleeting nature of the sky and landscape. Through memory and small watercolor studies I attempt to portray the seasons and poetry that speaks to us in the landscape.

The artist received a BFA from the University of Georgia, attended graduate school at George Washington University, also studied with Spanish sculptor Benjamin Saul. She enjoys painting in France, Italy and South America and was recently a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome. Her work can be seen at the Susan Calloway Gallery in Washington DC, has been exhibited in the Arts-in-Embassy Program at the State Department and is included in many corporate and international collections.
