CALL FOR ARTISTS  Ended February 1
for Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour.
Thank you for those who applied, notifications will be
sent by March 1st.

Visual artists can apply online for the 7th annual Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour, scheduled for June 9-10, 2012.  The application deadline is Wednesday, February 1, 2012, no exceptions.

Loudoun artists working in all fine art media may apply to this juried event.  Those selected will open their studios to the public for two full days, exposing their work to hundreds of visitors from the metropolitan region.   Last year’s tour brought an estimated one thousand visitors into more than 50 studios, allowing artists to connect with a targeted audience and increase both their visibility and sales.

Professional and emerging visual artists whose studios in Western Loudoun County meet specified criteria may apply as Studio Artists. Loudoun artists who do not have a western Loudoun studio suitable for visitors may apply as Guest Artists.  Two- or three-dimensional work will be considered, including painting, drawing, fiber art, wood, ceramics, photography, sculpture, and jewelry.

The complete application and all requirements are online at wlast.org/onlineentry.htm.  Postmarked deadline for submission is Wednesday, February 1, 2012, and all applicants will be notified by March 1.

The Studio Tour promotes Loudoun art and artists while it draws attention to the county as a cultural and scenic destination.   The tour is a joint project of Franklin Park Arts Center, Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center, ArtSquare/Loudoun Academy of the Arts Foundation and Round Hill Arts Center.
