Everyone at Hunt Country Jewelers is dedicated to craftsmanship and the process of hand making heirloom quality jewelry. We refine our own gold, craft our own settings, and cut our own stones. We make everything in house so that the pieces we create serve as beautiful reminders of special events and memories for generations to come.
Using the lost wax casting method, Ed and Logan hand carve each piece for a specific stone, ensuring a perfect fit. The great flexibility of hand carved wax has allowed us to be creative, resulting in a widely diverse portfolio of pendants, rings, earrings, and bracelets. We have even made rings with flexible bands and rings with interchangeable heads.
Second generation family owned Hunt Country Jewelers specializes in handcrafted gemstones and fine jewelry. Ed and Claire Cutshall have been precision cutting unique and specialty gemstones and hand crafting gold and platinum mountings for them since 1977. They were joined by son, Logan in 2007. Each piece is a collaborative effort between all three artisans. Both Ed and Logan have been honored by the American Gem Traders Association for their designs. Ed was the very first non-Japanese national to place in the International Pearl Design Competition.
Claire is part of a small and select group of American gemstone cutters working to cut gemstone rough for performance, rather than size. She specializes in the Jubilant Crown Cut, a facet pattern developed and patented by Ed and Claire. Claire works with all kinds of gemstone rough, from the classic blue sapphires to the little known green garnets and everything in between.
Offering on tour: Fine diamond and gemstone jewelry and private collection of gemstones. Demos — try your hand at stone cutting!
