Shtuff is my line of unique home design elements created from found objects. Pieces are designed using reclaimed wood, metal, and paper as well as architectural, graphic, and mechanical elements which are often locally sourced. With an engineer for a father and an artist for a mother, I was exposed to an unusual mix of mechanical and creative. This pairing has influenced my work. I frequently disassemble mechanical objects and use their form, shape, and structure as inspiration. Insight is sometimes discovered in the shape of a single object, while other times, I assemble and layer items to design a piece. My work includes clocks, frames, and a variety of organizational items. Since products are created from found objects, many of them are singular creations that can not be duplicated.
