I have been working with clay for a little over 10 years. I create both functional and non-functional, display-only forms using various types of firing: oxidation, reduction, soda, pit, and Raku.
Just like my personal life, my artwork is a marriage of east and west. I began my potter's life with a Korean master. He taught me the fundamentals of pottery and I carry the idea and essence of Korean pottery with me at all times. Since then, I've worked with many highly skilled and generous potters who were willing to share their ideas and techniques with me. I am also very excited to share my love of pottery with people who enjoys beauty and the craftsmanship.
My pottery has been in the annual Glen Echo Popcorn Gallery show for past 6 years, as well as many other juried shows. In addition, every year from April to December, my artwork is showcased at the Glen Echo Gallery.
