Artist Statement

My sculptures are forged copper pieces, assembled by brazing. I work in a variety of sizes. There are larger sculptures that would go well above the fireplace and smaller ones to jazz up an office desk. Each piece is a unique creation and my work is always changing. Lately, I have been exploring pieces that have moveable parts. Above all, I enjoy creating aesthetically pleasing artwork that combines organic elements of nature. This gives my work a rustic, earthy quality. Combining river rocks or driftwood with the forged copper creates pieces that have an ancient feel to them.
