I create fine art photography using a digital camera and an iPhone. When creating a photograph, I look for great composition, imaginative colors, interesting details and a story waiting to be told. Technology changes every day and the digital editing tools and iPhone apps provide endless opportunities to enhance, change and create a photograph.
My work is simply a reflection of my beliefs. Every day is a gift. I search to capture moments in time, both ordinary and extraordinary. Look at the whole and define the point of interest. It is the artistry of a photograph that makes an emotional and visual connection.
Inspiration is everywhere: a falling leaf, shelves of beautiful fabric, the wrinkled face of a sage grandmother, a morning sky golden as a Turner painting, a stylish window display on Fifth Avenue. When the images are printed on canvas they make a bold and dramatic statement. I keep an extensive collection of cards and fabric created from my photographs.
