About The Artist…

David Norton is a self taught, full-time potter from Round Hill , Virginia, making functional stoneware  and ceramic sculpture since 1975. He has had his own gallery in the Torpedo Factory Arts Center in Alexandria, Virginia for most of that time.   David has work in collections in over 80 countries and on all seven continents.   He has exhibited and taught at the Smithsonian's Renwick Museum and given extensive workshops in Venezuela, Poland and in the Washington, DC area.

His work has twice received acclaim by the New York Times, as well as being voted best local artist by readers of the Loudoun Times Mirror. Norton keeps in touch with aspiring young artists through workshops in many of the county high schools  and teaches an advanced pottery class.

Offering on tour: David's dinner plates have become one of his favorite items along with his many other beautiful and utilitarian pots.  Mugs, cups, bowls, vegetable steamers, baking dishes, and many other one-of-a- kind pots are available in lots of colors and sizes in his log pagoda -style gallery.
