About

A fused glass lamp fired multiple times in a kiln utilizing clear glass and copper oxide to give it a blue color and bubbles.
I am inspired by manipulating glass producing different textures, color, transparencies, depth and flow.
Since starting my journey as a glass artist, I continually am amazed at how glass transforms and dances as it becomes part of a stained-glass art panel or when it is fused under high heat in a kiln. I enjoy working with several types of glass including sheet glass, frit (glass chips), stringers (glass strips), and painting with glass powders.
I make both stained glass and fused glass art. In stained glass, I often embed gemstones or other items into a piece to create what I call a “window to the soul”. I am passionate about fused glass as well, and fire it at different temperatures in the kiln to create different effects. My hope is that my art showcases glass as an art medium for all to love as much as I do.

This is a fused glass lampshade artfully designing chips and pieces of glass that is definitely an attention getter.

An aqua and lime green fused glass nightlight utilizing chips of glass called frit and lightly fused to a clear base that makes a perfect nightlight

A fused glass sunflower candleholder. Each piece of glass is handcut, ground and fused multiple times in a kiln.

A fused glass candleholder handcutting glass and using chips of glass called “frit” for interest.

Fused glass wall art that I call “glass splashing”. It is quickly fired in a kiln that twists and turns the glass. I then take each individual splash and artfully arrange and then fuse it one last time in the kiln.

A lightly fused wall art piece that can be sold as a set or individually. Each piece utilizes blue and turquoise glass artfully arranged and fired to give it depth and represent the deep sea.

A fused glass heart that can either be an ornament or worn as a pendant. It uses murrini and blue and green glass to give it a field of flowers appearance.

A sample of fused glass dichroic pendants where a natural hole was made when the pendant was firing to serve as a bail for a chain.

The painting in each dish is placed between two pieces of glass, fired and sealed in to the glass giving it a floating appearance and making it food safe and dishwasher safe.

A fused glass lamp called “Donut Holes” as the glass circles are from what is left from previous lamps after drilling a hole to allow the shade to attach to the base.

A fused glass lampshade fusing to different pieces of glass together (green and wispy clear) and then adding decorative elements of glass vitrigraph and frit and firing it several more times to give it a final handkerchief drape look.
