Artist's Statement

I am a local pastel fine artist, creating realistic animal paintings and portraits that tell a story. I am daily inspired by the wonder and complexity of the creation that surrounds us and the lessons and truth I have learned while experiencing life and nature around me. My goal and hope is that my art would encourage and inspire others to look at the world they live in and discover the infinite beauty and mystery of our infinite Creator.

Christmas Morning
Ragan; kind and gentle, small ears, large muzzle and soft brown eyes peeking through the forrest of hairs that make up her forelock and mane. Although she can be stubborn or maybe even grouchy at times, Ragan has a patient and willing heart that has carried her through years of therapy work!

Among the Wildflowers
Peace, serenity, time forgotten. Small red and yellow heads thrust themselves upwards to the sun offering their sweet fragrance, while a soft fluttering of wings challenges the host with it's equally brillient colors. The summer air a blur of hazy stillness.

Out Foxed
The cleverness of the fox has been reconized for centuries and he has eluded the grasp of his adversary many times, but has he succeded again? Or are his pursuers luking at the edge of the swamp where he has taken refuge?

Run!
Focus, intelligence, drive; this is the bordercollie at heart.

War Horse
' The word for meekness in the Scriptures pictures a war horse at rest. It doesn' t thrash around the paddock snorting and kicking to intimidate the other horses. It stands at quiet, ready at it' s masters beck and call to be swift on the run and courageous in battle.' Wayne Jacobsen

A Portrait of Homer
This Portrait was commissioned as a gift to Homer's owner who loves him very much, featuring Homer at his best, competing in a cross country course, with willingness and a hard work ethic!

Intensity: A Portrait of Casey
Intensity at it's fullest, displayed in one who can seldom contain it. This is Casey, a pressure valve waiting to explode with a pair of deep brown eyes that can comunicate emotion on a leval that should not be accpable of a dog.

Reagan
Reagan a faithful companion and friend. Regal, proud but tender with a soft look in her eye, watching the world as it unfolds before her. Sudenly she is not alone in the wide field, as fluttering reveals a monarch butterfly stopping by to say fairwell to the dwaining summer sun.

I Smell A Rat
On the prowl, no joking around, a farm cat with a mission, and a look that says it all!

Shortie
Shortie's name fits her very well seeing as she cannot be more than 10 in. tall! She loves her owner and is contantly looking up to ask for commands or tibits from the table.
