Artist's Statement

Katherine Riedel has become known over the past 26 years for her oil paintings of amazing Loudoun County skies, old, barns, fields, and animals.

Her studio, a former dry goods store, is located in the historic village of Waterford, Virginia. Notably during the annual Waterford fair, but also throughout the year, visitors are welcome to step into her studio where her paintings are displayed, and where she is often working on a new painting.

Katherine has taught and continues to teach students of all ages.
