Artist's Statement

Based just outside Washington D.C. in Loudoun County, Rachel is a homeschool mother and contemporary pastel artist. Her work explores the poetry of life, offering fresh perspective on florals, nature and portraits through the multimedia of acrylic washes, soft pastel and hints of metal leafing on sand paper.
