About

Hand cut and forged sterling sheet metal with repurposed antique earring as focal
Meredith Hilt is a metalsmith specializing in metal forms and jewelry. Her lifelong obsession with jewelry led her to experimentation in jewelry making where she then found a love of metalwork. Her creations usually start with sheet metal and wire. Using a saw, hammer and torch, Meredith merges metals and jewelry elements together, seeing how they can play off one another. Using her hands and imagination, Meredith creates unique, organic pieces with a contemporary flair. The results turn precious metal into wearable pieces of artwork.
